Moh et al. in 2025  reported that Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has long been valued for its therapeutic properties, especially through its use in essential oils, teas, and plant extracts (Journal of Free Radical Biology and Medicine, 235, Pages: 390-404, 2025). They examined how Lavandula angustifolia leaf callus extract (LCE) supports human skin recovery. These results show that LCE significantly improves skin cell viability while reducing oxidative stress and melanin production. In vitro tests confirmed that LCE promotes wound healing and exhibits strong antioxidant activity by lowering free radicals, preventing lipid peroxidation, and boosting glutathione (GSH) levels. Clinical evaluations supported these findings, demonstrating improved skin barrier function, reduced redness, and protection against particulate matter adhesion.
